So far, classes are going great! All my teachers seem really nice and caring, which makes me feel a lot better! Here's how the first day of classes went: my Comp II teacher referred to herself as a "loose cannon", and her policy on sleeping in class is: "If you fall asleep, everyone else's class participation points for that day will be determined by the number of paper wads they can land in your gaping mouth or on the back of your neck.." My history teacher started off class by saying, "Welcome to Advanced Physics", and then the rest of the class she kept talking about how cute this Scottish guy's accent was. Then I had Algebra, which so far is ridiculously easy. I finished all of my math homework in an hour, and even worked ahead.
The second day of class also went well. My first class was Macroeconomics, but it didn't start until 11, which was so nice. The teacher was also nice and said he's going to drop our lowest test grade. I didn't think professors in college did that! Also, our only papers are going to be 4 short one page essays. After that I had an hour break, and then I had to go to my First Class group, which was easy. Then I had Intro to Physical Activity, and we got out 20 minutes early! My last class of the day was Understanding Art, which is the class farthest away from the Village. I am really excited for that class; we get to learn a lot about the different styles of art, and a lot of the book focuses on art from Spain, France, and Italy, which I visited this summer! So I think this class will be more important to me since I got to see a lot of the works of art in person. After that, I went back to my dorm and worked on homework.
I am so glad to say that so far, I've survived all my college classes. Hopefully it stays like this the whole semester!
